On the occasion of the third anniversary of Shenzhen and Barcelona becoming "Friendship Cities" and the first anniversary of the opening of the direct flight route between Shenzhen and Barcelona, the 2024 Shenzhen-Spain Economic, Trade and Cultural Cooperation and Exchanges Theme Day was held in Shenzhen on 9 July. Talking about exchanges and cooperation with Shenzhen, the Mayor of Barcelona, Jordi Valles, said that the changes that have taken place in the city of Shenzhen in a short period of 40 years are amazing, and he hoped that exchanges and cooperation would be carried out with Shenzhen in the fields of smart city, communication technology, commercial display and football.

At the meeting, Shenzhen Commercial Display Industry Promotion Association and Barcelona signed a memorandum of understanding on co-operation, the two sides will strengthen co-operation in the field of commercial display, and set up a regular co-operation window for China's audio-visual products to go overseas.
